On Friday, October 8, members of the Soldier Fire Department visited our classroom and taught us about fire safety. Mr. Taff explained the importance of smoke alarms and what you should do should you have a fire. The Soldier Fire Department also provided each family in our school with a smoke alarm. Thank you so much for doing this for our JH families.
Your assignment is to write about your experience learning about safety. You can write about something you learned from the firemen, the ambulance attendent or the LifeStar paramedics.

It was very exiting learning about firemen and how they do there jobs! This year they gave everyone in the school a smoke alarm for free! They tought us a lot of stuff like we need to have a safe place for when there is a fire. We even got to see a helicopter.it was lots of fun.
I learned about when there is a fire and you are traped in your room you stay against the wall so, the fire fighters can find you easier. If you do not the fire fighters can't find you very easy because you are in the middle of your room. I hope everybody is safe.
I liked the Life Star helicopter. It was fun sitting in the vehicle. My favorite part that we learnd about the helicopter was red button

I learned that you should have a fire meeting spot if your house caught on fire. It was a lot of fun. We got to try on the fireman outfit. It was very hot and heavy! The LifeStar paramedics had lots of buttons.

The life star helicopter had a red button and if you touched the red button it will drop bombs and they go boom!
I learned that the helicopter has
bombs hidden in the legs of it.

I would put the firealarm on the ceiling of my house.I would hear it when I was asleep. I would run outside.I will be safe out there.
I learned if the smock alarm gos off ,I get out of the house. If my door is hot, I sit by the window. I know there are bomes in the helicopter in it. If you have a fire, call nine one one. When you call ,you should wait for a minut.
the red button on the helicopter goes boom boom. So do not push the red button or you no what will happen. It will blow up under the helicopter and the people in it will be gone forever.
Wen you stay by a wall a firefiter will see you so you can get out. wen you hear a firealarn you get up and fill the dool if it is hot do not opin it if you have a windo get out of it.do not go back for inethang
I think it was awsome learing about the helicopter.I think was awsome learing about the smoke alam.I like engoing that.I hope you come back.
I learned that the ambeilins goes to all the fires. They have stufed
animals for kids. They have air tanks too.
I learned that you should feel your door when there is a fire.And when your door is not hot at least try to get out.And if your dog or something is in there do not go back and get it.Stay safe.And get your fire detectors out.
