Optimist Club Donates Dictionaries


The Holton Optimist Club visited the 3rd graders on Monday. Each student received their own dictionary compliments of the club. The volunteers had the students find the definition of both an optimist and a pessimist. What is the difference between an optimist and a pessimist? What is one way that you could be an optimist?

Olympic Day at Jackson Heights 2008


The Olympics came to Jackson Heights on Friday, September 8. The student body was divided into 20 multiage teams with each team representing a different country around the world. The afternoon was spent with teams competing against one another playing cooperative games. A fun and memorable day was enjoyed by all.
